Protection and cleaning of wooden furnitureThe maintenance of wooden furniture can be mainly divided into five essentials and nine taboos 1. Regularly remove dust, as it rubs against the surface of solid wood furniture every day. Dust removal method: Wet the soft cloth with water, wiping it can reduce friction, avoid scratches, and easily absorb dust. Do not use a dry cloth to wipe the flowers. 2. When wooden furniture is used in relatively dry environments, manual humidification measures should be taken. For example, regularly wipe furniture with a soft cloth soaked in water; 3. Regularly polish (2-3 times a year) to remove stains and small particles, and enhance the aesthetic appearance of furniture. Glazing agents should be selected that do not contain silicone resin, and specific polishing agents should be selected specifically for high gloss coated furniture, non gloss coated furniture, non gloss or low gloss coated furniture, and glossy or low gloss coated furniture. Usually, "Bi Li Zhu" can be chosen. 4. Regularly move desktop items, such as computer equipment, clocks, staplers, books, etc; Alternately move decorations or other items on furniture; The bottom of the decoration should be placed with a velvet cloth to prevent dents. 5. Wash the alkaline or oil stains on the surface paint layer of furniture with soapy water in a timely manner, then rinse with clean water, dry, and apply wax. 6. Do not forcefully pull or drag when moving, be sure to handle with care. When placing, it should be placed steadily. If the ground is uneven, the legs should be padded firmly to prevent damage to the tenon joint 7. Avoid exposing furniture to direct sunlight or placing it in excessively dry areas to prevent wood cracking and deformation. 8. Avoid placing furniture in a damp environment to prevent the wood from becoming damp and expanding, which can easily become loose and cause drawers to become unable to open over time. 9. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of furniture such as wardrobes, bookcases, and wine cabinets, which may cause cabinet doors to protrude and door gaps to not be tightly closed; Clothes should not be piled up or hung too much, exceeding the cabinet door and causing it to deform. 10. Avoid washing furniture made of plywood with water or wiping it with a cloth, and also avoid soaking it in alkaline water, which may cause the plywood to loosen or peel off. 11. Avoid using pigments with a different color from the original paint on furniture and mix them with putty before embedding them into the furniture to create cracks and smooth edges, which may inevitably leave scars. 12. Avoid washing furniture with alkaline or hot water, or placing high concentration alcohol, banana water, or just boiled hot water on the tabletop to prevent damage to the paint surface. 13. Avoid laying plastic tablecloths and mats on the surface of wooden furniture for a long time to prevent chemical components in the plastic from damaging the coating. 14. Avoid rinsing with water or wiping furniture made of artificial boards with a damp cloth. Do not soak in alkaline water to prevent the artificial boards from scattering, expanding, damaging or peeling the paint surface. 15. There are often white marks on the desktop when a boiling water cup is scalded. In this case, two methods can be used to remove the scald marks: (1) kerosene or alcohol flower dew solvent can be used to wipe; (2) Dip cork in tea juice and wipe. A simple way to restore the luster of furniture is to add a little vinegar to hot water, roll up the door cabinet, and then gently wipe it with a soft cloth dipped in vinegar water. After the water is completely dry, use furniture polishing wax to restore its luster. Beautiful white furniture will turn yellow over time, and if you use toothpaste to wipe it, it will improve. But do not use too much force during operation, otherwise it will damage the paint film. Using milk to remove furniture odors: First, place a cup of boiled milk inside the furniture (cabinet type), close the cabinet door tightly, and wait for the milk to cool before removing it. The original odor inside the furniture will disappear. |
